At one time, after searching for the perfect workout regimen, I reached a point where I was just about to give up. We've all been there; You spend hours a day at the gym with 2 hour cardio sessions and thousands of reps, yet you don't get any of the results you've hoped for. I remember when I was at the gym for 5X a week working out for 3 hours each session. I kept a tone physique, but I felt like it was a waste of time and energy. So I did some research and came across HIIT training, also known as High Intensity Interval Training. Basically, you have a certain amount of time to work and rest, multiplied by rounds. Usually the work time block is more than the rest time. To make more sense, for example, you're resting for 10 seconds followed by exercising at your maximum level for 50 seconds for 10 rounds, which equals a 10 minute intense workout. So what are the pros and cons of HIIT? I've summed it up to give you a general idea:
